The next chapter of skiing at Mont-Tremblant is taking shape—and it brings fresh attention to where you might want to stay.

Scheduled for winter 2027–28, the Timber Summit expansion will introduce 62 acres of skiable terrain, eight new trails and a high-speed chairlift. Tremblant’s official announcement describes a $42.5-million investment in a project that will strengthen Versant Soleil’s place in the mountain experience.

For a winter getaway, however, more terrain is only part of the attraction. There is also the pleasure of choosing somewhere worth returning to: a place for slow breakfasts, relaxed evenings and time together that does not end with the last lift.

Arbora Tremblant offers a four-bedroom penthouse on Versant Soleil, with a private four-season spa and mountain views. Reservations are made through Tremblant Living, the property’s manager.

Seven New Trails Will Lead Toward Versant Soleil

One of Timber Summit’s most interesting details is its orientation. Seven of the eight new trails will descend toward Versant Soleil, while another will connect toward Tremblant’s North Side. The new Timber Express, a detachable high-speed quad, will carry up to 2,400 skiers per hour over a route approximately 1.8 kilometres long.

For returning skiers, the appeal is straightforward: a new part of a familiar mountain to discover. Another morning exploring, another favourite descent to find, another reason to make the trip more than a quick weekend.

For those choosing accommodation, it puts Versant Soleil firmly into the conversation. Rather than thinking only about where to ski, consider how you want the whole stay to feel.

Do you want every evening to involve another outing? Or would you rather have the option to settle in, share a meal and let the mountain day become an unhurried mountain evening?

More Possibilities for Families and Mixed-Ability Groups

A group ski holiday rarely comes with a single definition of a perfect day. Some people want to keep exploring. Others are working on their confidence. Someone will inevitably be ready for a break before everyone else.

Timber Summit’s planned terrain mix reflects that variety: 35% beginner, 60% intermediate and 5% expert, with snowmaking across the new area. Its strong emphasis on green and blue terrain makes the expansion particularly relevant to recreational skiers and families.

That is an inviting prospect for a trip with different abilities under one roof. The goal does not have to be spending every minute together. It can be giving everyone something to enjoy, then having somewhere comfortable to regroup and compare the day’s discoveries.

There is an earlier development to watch, too. For winter 2026–27, Tremblant plans a 1.1-acre beginner learning area beside the Casino Express Gondola. A covered magic carpet and full snowmaking coverage are planned, with operation on weekends and during peak periods.

The distinction matters when choosing travel dates: the beginner area is planned first; Timber Summit’s trails and chairlift are scheduled for the following winter.

Give the Hours After Skiing Their Own Appeal

The mountain may inspire a trip, but accommodation shapes the moments between the adventures.

At Arbora Tremblant, two private decks, views over the Laurentian landscape and a year-round outdoor jacuzzi bring the surroundings into the stay. Inside, natural materials and nature-inspired design continue that connection.

Picture coming back without another schedule to keep. A soak beneath the open sky. Something warm to drink. A conversation that wanders from the day’s best run to whether tomorrow should begin early—or a little more slowly.

There is no need to turn every evening into an event. Sometimes the most memorable part of a mountain holiday is having nowhere else you need to be.

That is also a reason to leave some space in the itinerary. A longer stay can mean an afternoon off without feeling that you have missed the trip, or a leisurely breakfast without calculating how quickly everyone needs to get out the door.

A Shared Stay, With Space for Different Rhythms

Inside the penthouse, two king bedrooms and two bunk-and-trundle bedrooms offer sleeping flexibility for families. The open-plan living area brings everyone together around a fireplace and large windows.

For two families travelling together, that suggests a different kind of holiday from coordinating separate hotel rooms. Breakfast can become part of the visit rather than a meeting point. The evening can continue after dinner. Those who want an early night can leave the conversation without bringing everyone else’s evening to a close.

Practical details help, too: two heated indoor parking spaces, elevator access and ski storage. Tremblant Living lists the pedestrian village at approximately six minutes by car, with an on-call shuttle to the lifts and village during winter only.

The choice is not between enjoying the resort and enjoying your accommodation. It is having room for both.

Plan This Winter—or Look Ahead to Timber Summit

The expansion offers two distinct reasons to consider a future visit: the new learning area planned for 2026–27, followed by Timber Summit in 2027–28. Tremblant expects the broader project to increase its hourly lift capacity by approximately 10%, alongside the continuing development of Versant Soleil and the confirmed future arrival of Club Med Tremblant.

For your own plans, start with the experience you want to share. A family ski break. A few days away with friends. A mountain escape where the spa and the view are as much a part of the holiday as the skiing.

The new trails may be the reason to return. A place you love coming back to can be the reason to stay another night.
